Gate House Theatre
Cheryl Hamilton is the Vice President of the Gate House Community Association and has been involved since the Association was formed in 2011. She also serves as the bookkeeper, fundraiser and costume person. Cheryl enjoys being involved behind the scenes in all aspects of the theatre. She has lived in Port McNeill since 1990 and is self employed as a bookkeeper. Cheryl is also a gardener, a wife, mother and grandmother.
A self professed theatre addict, Sequoia lived on Haida Gwaii before moving to the North Island in 1999. She has 2 boys with her husband, a logger. She has been involved in almost every production put on by Gate House, either on stage or behind the scenes doing makeup and/ or directing. Sequoia also volunteers as the director for the senior after school drama program and is part of the OrcaFest committee.
Gord is a new addition to the North Island having moved from Alberta in 2017. Gord is our technical director for audio and video and lighting having spent a number of years performing in dance bands across Western Canada.
Terry Ruth Eissfeldt has lived in Port McNeill since 1992. She has been involved in the community in various ways, from teaching horseback riding, singing in the community choir, and hosting charitable events. She started Gate House Community Association in 2011 in order to enhance exposure and participation in the performing arts for all ages. She currently runs the Junior After School Drama program and brings creative leadership to Gate House Players. She is the sitting President for Gate House.
